About the Podiatrist

LegFindlay is my home town. I grew up here and went to college at the Findlay College, which is now the University of Findlay. I graduated with a degree in Nuclear Medicine and upon departing this community I worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a Nuclear Pharmacist, doing research that became the basis of the tomoxifen studies. Eventually, I decided I would like to pursue another career goal. Of all the professions, I chose podiatry.

My training consisted of a rotational residency combined with surgery. I was fortunate enough to train with the top vascular and orthopedic surgeons. My residency took place in Arizona among 8 hospitals and surgery centers. My training also included 2 years of surgical podiatric surgery, which includes reconstruction, ankle, and foot surgery. I was on the PACT team that provided continued education, care and treatment (focusing on wound care) in the Navaho and other Indian reservations.

Once my training was completed I found my way back to my home town, Findlay. I started my private practice in Findlay in 1995. At first the base of the practice was here in Findlay and then I branched out to the area communities Ottawa, North Baltimore, Lima and the surrounding 9 nursing homes, including 3 assisted living facilities. I was the practicing podiatrist at the Wound Center in Lima. Finally, I decided to dedicate my entire practice to the treatment and wound care of the Findlay community.

In my spare time I sponsor a softball team that has done very well throughout the last 12 years, taking both league and overall championships in the tournaments. I love to garden -- there is always a new plant meet and get to know. I have a wonderful husband. We were married in June 2007.

I feel I am fortunate that I was able to fulfill my dreams of becoming a podiatrist with such an extensive and varied background that I can use everyday for the people in the Findlay area. I am glad I am back home.
